HOW CAN WE USE THESE TOOLS IN THE LESSON PLAN?

Well, I think that every tool has its purpose and its function related to education and to start talking about some of these important tools let see one of them. The mind42 tool is a very nice program that allows us to create maps in a very creative way. It also helps us to include URL links. I think that it is a very nice tool that we can include in a lesson plan for making students to understand better a topic. We can include links in branches for them to look at it. It can be also use for teaching vocabulary. We can include the work, meaning and the respective example. We can also use it to make an online lesson plan in which you can include some links for students go and make the respective activities.

Many people in the world like to learn many things: especially if it is related to computers. Some teachers complicate their lives creating Word quizzes for their students when they may be some other ways of making students to work and practice the language, and one of these ways is using Youthink program. It is a very controversial program that helps teachers to create quizzes, questions and journals. I think that we can include this tool in our lesson plan for students to discuss a question or make journals at home. Therefore; I can use it for making semi controlled activities or giving them homework.

As many teachers, I would like to help my students to improve their speaking skills and one of the things that I can do is use this interesting tool called Brainshark which is a video presentation in which students can record their voices and improve their English. I think that we can use this tool in the free practice activities from my lesson plan and make my students to do their best. It can be use for teacher to develop one topic and have a more understandable class.

Teacher must find many ways of making their students to practice speaking skills that’s why we have another tool that can help a lot, as well. This is called Mailvu. This tool allows us to create our own video, and it also allows us to send full length videos via Video Text or Video Email to anyone, anywhere. Therefore; I might be nice to work with this in the classroom and make students to loose anxiety.

As we have been studied these tools are very useful when talking about education. I must say that all of them can be very useful, and we can also use these tools for making semi controlled and free practice activities in a lesson plan. Teachers must take into account these programs in the classroom to make of the lessons something more meaningful.

Advantages and disadvantages of using YouTube

Well, some of the advantages that we can have by using this program are that you can find many educational videos that are useful for students and even for teachers. For example, those videos in which people explain interesting topics, such as grammar structure and vocabulary explanation. I think that it helps a lot when students do not understand what teachers explain in classrooms, and it also helps teachers for teaching a lesson because there are some videos in which people provide examples,  and you can take them for your class. It also helps students to learn new vocabulary through listening to songs. It provides the lyrics for students to sing and practice vocabulary. I think that most of the people had learned English by using this interesting program that is called YouTube.

Another advantage that you can find by using this program is that if teachers work online, they can give links for students to learn a lesson or even ask for something based on a video. It is a very creative and interesting way of working with students.

Talking about disadvantages, I can say that one of the disadvantages is that some people do not use it for good purposes, and it affects s somehow. For example some people upload things related to sex, and it affect s some children psychologically. Therefore, it has its good and bad things. Another disadvantage is that some people do not give to this program a good use they upload whatever thing that they record, and it might not be important for some people.

So I could recommend to people to use this program just for educational purposes and upload things that can help society in general, and I also recommend people think before upload things in this program because since the moment you upload something everybody can see it and can upload to someone else and make some criticism on your video, and sometimes there are some people that do not like to be criticized by anyone.

How can we use hot potatoes to teach children, teenagers and adults?

I think that this tool can be useful in all the ages because it looks like an exam that can allows you to evaluate your students in a very easy way. By using this tool, you do not have to complicate your life checking the good and bad answers of your students. It gives the grade as soon as possible, and this is one of the good things that this tool posses.

You can use this hot potato to teach your children new vocabulary in a very easy and funny way. With the jcross you can create cross words which can make your students to get fun. You can evaluate them, and they will not even notice that you are doing this.

If you are working with teenagers you can create cross words, as well to teach vocabulary, you can also create readings for students to read fast or get vocabulary that can be difficult for them. You can develop reading skills on your students and push them to work on this. If you do this, you will see that to do this in your classroom is a good idea, and you will also see that your job had not been in vain.

With adults you can create difficult readings for they to practice. You can also use this tool to taste your students and see how well they are on reading skills or to see how much vocabulary they know. You can even teach them how to create a reading test for they to create one and share that reading with their classmates. In that way they will be practicing and you will get good results whenever you give them a reading test. Therefore, you can use this excellent tool in the classroom and get fun with your students for a while.
